|There's this song I sing to my kids as we are nodding off to sleep at night, you might know it. Edelweiss? From the Sound of Music? Its just a soft soothing song. On a side note, when I was hopped up on pregnancy hormones with my 2nd, and my first was still little, it would make me sob. A song about flowers... somehow I made it about my babies, and I sobbed. Anyway, enough about my hormone-induced psychosis. There's a line in that song that reminds me of this dress "soft and white, clean and bright." And there we have the title of this blog post!
Its a great little summer dress, white cotton, great for a hot day. Although it wrinkles like a BITCH. Even ironing it is nigh impossible, because its gathered at the waist. But it's worth the effort.
The first time I wore this dress (I didn't post it) I was SO disappointed in myself because I forgot to wear a statement necklace with it, and if this isn't the perfect blank slate for that, I don't know what is!
This time around, I wore a necklace, but kept it a little neutral, along with my other accessories. Blue paired with this would have been phenomenal as well... reminiscent of a Greek village.
This is Erin's wistful-ness...
