This is the start of the list of things I never thought I would wear. I am not a trendsetter. I don't wear the kind of outfits that cause people's metaphorical jaws to drop, and inspire new heights of creativity in others. I just wear what I like and think looks good. As such, jumpsuits and rompers were the kind of "out there" clothing item that I never thought I would wear. But then I got that first red jumpsuit at Forever 21+, and loved it. And then I found this one right at the start of the Spring season. Little did I know that this would be the Summer of the Jumpsuit/Romper!
I have had it sitting in my closet, waiting for the constellations to align, and the time to be right for me to wear it.
Well, the other day, the temps hit 30ish (that's 86ish in American) so I thought, what better time to wear my romper. Its even got that great deep-vee back cutout/ keyhole thing!
I paired it with my woven cork wedges from last year, because I needed something neutral, and not too dressy looking. I could certainly dress up this romper, but I chose not to that day. I'm seeing it with a rolled-sleeve boyfriend blazer, stilettos, and an envelope clutch...
I was also pretty restrained with the jewelry as well, wearing only earrings, rings, and a bracelet. I liked that the bracelet was picking up on the teal that was woven through the pattern of the romper. I know it *looks* like my butt is hungry (see this post for an explanation of "hungry-butt") but I think its just the way I was standing.
This romper is so comfortable to wear. The fabric is light, the top is blousey but not overmuch, and the waist has a band to give it a little shape.
I kind of can't wait to wear this again, perhaps out to a patio or something!
On me: Romper (Forever 21+; similar) Shoes (Charlotte Russe; similar) Earrings (unknown; similar) Rings (Claire's; similar) Bracelet (ebay; similar).
