black blazer buffalo check fashion jeggings Office appropriate old navy OOTD Sirens Torrid
I picked up this shirt a good couple of years ago, and it's been a faithful standby since then. I always relegated it to casual Fridays, though, and never tried to dress it up.
This fall though, I am seeing plaid everywhere (like, a red plaid flannel shirt is seriously on my want-list) and I love that I am seeing it dressed up, and not just tied around the waist.
I was there on the ground floor when Nirvana and the whole Grunge movement happened. I lived it once, and have no desire to do it again.
I love the fact that this blouse now has a whole new lease on life! It works like a charm on casual Fridays, but now I can dress it up too. Here, I kind of went halfway. I still wore it with jeggings and casual boots, but added a blazer and fancy-schmancy earrings.
I shit you not, I actually wore this out to the local pub with some girlfriends celebrating a birthday, and had one of the best nights ever. I wouldn't think this would go over so great at a bar, but it totally did. It was an accident, really. I threw on the blazer last minute because it was cold, but it all ended up working.
