Fall Floral: Cherry Blossoms
If you're anything like me, you've been thinking about your closet, about putting away the bright colors and florals, and moving on to the dark jewel tones, the ubiquitous Fall Oxblood (or, as it will be known this season, Bordeaux) and the cobalt blue.
Yes, all that has to happen. Its become time to embrace Fall. Its here, and that's all there is to it. BUT, if you love your florals, there's no reason to abandon them entirely. There is a Fall Floral!
|I've been sitting on this dress for a while. It's from Ricki's, and I wanted it as soon as I saw it. I just love the cowl neck (I have a thing for cowl necks), and the pattern, and its unlike any dresses I had, so I really wanted it. Bought it, found it too snug across the belly. The scourge of my existence, this darn belly. Everything else I can work with, but this belly vexes me.
Anyway, when it came on sale, I had to reevaluate, and I decided that I had to have it, belly or no. And its perfect for Fall/Winter. The fabric is rather heavy, so its just too warm for summer, and I love the Winter floral. Floral on white, yes, totally Summer, but floral on black, TOTALLY Fall / Winter. Check out this shoe and handbag from Shoedazzle. Love the dark floral. And I think this dress will also pair nicely with black tights, and a black blazer, so this dress will be wearable way into the colder weather.
