Secretary, Librarian, take your pick
I rewatched Secretary while I was putting together this post. Something about this outfit just reminded me of that movie...
This might be my most buttoned-up look yet. Sometimes I wear stuff like this to work, and sometimes I wear stuff like this to work... I have noticed that my style has evolved a bit, even in just the last year or so. I am leaning a bit less toward the trendier "fast-fashion" pieces (although I have by no means abandoned them entirely).
I wasn't so sure about this when I got to work... it is really conservative. Like SUPER conservative. But, I actually quite like it now that I look back on it. I really love the skirt. It was gifted to me from a friend (I think it still had tags on it!) and I love the little ruffle on the back of it. I don't even know where I got the blouse, but as the brand is Nygard, I think it might have been Sears? All I remember is that it was on sale, and I bought one in black as well. Which I have yet to wear.
I almost wore a pair of really plain-jane pair of pumps, but at the last minute, I decided on this pair of Charlotte Russe heels. They look kind of "dominatrix-lite" to be and I like that they offset the librarian look of the rest of the ensemble.
Blouse (Nygard; similar) Skirt (Ricki's; similar, sadly, no ruffle or tweedyness) Shoes (Charlotte Russe; similar) Earrings (unknown; similar from John Lewis)
Not on me (but nice additions)
